Yes. Because you yourself determine what goes into the water, you don't use pesticides unless you add them yourself. With home hydroponics, there are also hardly any pests that require pesticides. What you grow is pure and clean.

Is the system suitable for an apartment?

Certainly. Our systems are compactly designed and fit on a windowsill, countertop, or in a corner of the kitchen. You don't need a garden or outdoor space to grow fresh vegetables at home.

Do I need special nutrients?

Yes, plants in hydroponics require liquid nutrients because there is no soil for them to extract minerals from. Lumigrove provides starter kits that include nutrients, so you can get started immediately without additional purchases.

How much power does the system consume?

The LED lights in our systems are designed to be energy-efficient. An average system consumes a comparable amount of energy to an energy-saving light bulb, so the additional costs on your electricity bill are minimal.

How does this hydroponics system work exactly?

This system grows plants without soil. Instead, the plants use water with nutrients, while the LED light provides the right illumination. This allows herbs and vegetables to grow faster and healthier.

Which plants can I grow?

Herbs like basil, mint, and parsley do very well. But lettuce, spinach, arugula, and small vegetables such as radish or bok choy also grow perfectly in a hydroponic system. Larger crops like tomatoes require a larger system.
